With more people working remotely than ever before,
Microsoft Teams has become one of the most popular online video calling apps.
In this article, we present to you the most important ones:
Create tasks directly in Microsoft Teams
If you receive a new task, it is possible to create that
task directly within Microsoft
Teams without leaving it. To do this, follow these steps:
- Open the app in your phone or sign in via the web version.
- Open a new message and then tap on the More option.
- In the menu that appears, select the option to create a task, and then add the details.
- After you're done, you can view the task you created in the Tasks app.
Pin 7 people to the home screen
It is usually common when hosting a meeting via a service to have more than one speaker talking about the same topic during the meeting such as a group of students sharing a presentation.
Instead of pinning one person to the home screen, you can now pin seven people at once. This is done through the Spotlight feature.
Automatically schedule meetings
You can now use Scheduler, a paid service for Microsoft 365 subscribers, to create and automate meeting scheduling. To schedule a meeting, add Cortana to your email and ask it to schedule the meeting for the next week, month, or any time you want.
The voice assistant works with the tool to check everyone's availability, find the best times to hold meetings, and then send out invitations.
Create tags
The tags feature lets you sort groups of people by projects so you can be sure you're always looking in the right place to find the one you need. You can use it to communicate with the team or people within the service through the @ symbol.
You can also create subgroups by copying the tag, modifying the list of members and deleting them when the project is finished.
